Profile Settings
Manage your personal account details, security, and notification preferences.
Update your profile
- Click your avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard
- Select Profile Settings
From here you can update:
Display name
Your name appears in team activity feeds, comments, and collaboration features. Change it anytime — it updates everywhere instantly.
Email address
Your email is used for sign-in, validation report delivery, weekly intelligence emails, and team notifications.
To change your email:
- Enter your new email address
- Click Update Email
- Check your new email inbox for a verification link
- Click the link to confirm the change
Your old email remains active until you verify the new one.
Avatar
Upload a profile photo or image to personalize your account. Click the avatar circle to upload a new image. Supported formats: JPG, PNG. Maximum size: 2MB.
Change your password
- Go to Profile Settings > Security
- Enter your current password
- Enter and confirm your new password
- Click Update Password
Passwords must be at least 8 characters. Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols for best security.
If you signed up with Google, you don't have a HolyShift password. You can set one from this page if you want the option to sign in with email and password in addition to Google.
Notification preferences
Control what emails HolyShift sends you. Go to Profile Settings > Notifications to toggle:

Changes save automatically.
Connected accounts
If you signed up with Google, your Google account is linked automatically. You can view and manage connected accounts from Profile Settings > Connected Accounts.
To link a Google account to an email-based account:
- Go to Profile Settings > Connected Accounts
- Click Connect Google
- Sign in with the Google account you want to link
Delete your account
Deleting your account is permanent. If you're the only owner of a workspace, you must transfer ownership or delete the workspace first.
- Go to Profile Settings > Danger Zone
- Click Delete Account
- Type "DELETE" to confirm
- Click Permanently Delete
This removes your personal account, but does not delete the workspace if other members remain.
FAQ
Can I change the email address associated with Google sign-in?
Your Google sign-in uses whatever email is on your Google account. To use a different email, link a separate Google account or switch to email-based sign-in.
Will changing my name affect my projects?
No. Your display name is purely cosmetic. Projects, data, and permissions are unaffected.
I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click Forgot Password on the sign-in page. You'll receive a reset link via email. If you signed up with Google only, use Google sign-in instead.
