Manage Projects
Create, update, archive, and delete projects in your HolyShift workspace.
Create a project
- From your dashboard, click New Project
- Enter a project name — something descriptive like "AI Fitness Coach" or "B2B Invoice Tool"
- Write a project description — explain what your product does, who it's for, and what problem it solves. Be specific: "An AI-powered meal planning app for busy parents who want healthy dinners in under 30 minutes" is much better than "a food app"
- Define your target market — describe who your ideal customers are, including demographics, geography, and industry if relevant
- Click Create Project
Your project is now live on your dashboard, ready for validation.
Tips for better results
- Be specific in your description. The more detail you give HolyShift, the more accurate your validation signals will be. Include the problem, the solution, and who benefits.
- Define a clear target market. "Small business owners in the US who spend more than $500/month on accounting software" produces sharper results than "businesses."
- Don't overthink it. You can update your description and target market anytime as your thinking evolves.
Edit a project
- Open the project from your dashboard
- Click Settings (gear icon)
- Update the project name, description, or target market
- Click Save
Changing your project description or target market doesn't retroactively affect past validations, but future validations and intelligence reports will use the updated information.
Archive a project
Archiving removes a project from your active dashboard without deleting any data. Use this for ideas you've shelved or concepts you've decided not to pursue right now.
- Open the project
- Click Settings > Archive Project
- Confirm the archive
Archived projects can be found under Settings > Archived Projects and restored at any time with one click.
Restore an archived project
- Go to Settings > Archived Projects
- Find the project you want to restore
- Click Restore
The project returns to your active dashboard with all data intact — validation reports, landing pages, leads, and intelligence.
Delete a project
Deleting a project is permanent. All validation data, landing pages, leads, market intelligence, and associated content will be permanently removed.
- Open the project
- Click Settings > Delete Project
- Type the project name to confirm
- Click Delete Permanently
This action cannot be undone. If you're unsure, archive the project instead.
FAQ
Can I duplicate a project?
Not currently. To test a variation of an existing idea, create a new project and adjust the description and target market.
Does archiving a project free up resources?
Archived projects don't count against any active project limits, but their data is still stored.
What happens to a published landing page when I delete the project?
The landing page is taken offline immediately when the project is deleted. The subdomain becomes available for reuse.
